communication

Working for The Office of Multicultural Development and being apart of the JumpStart Program's team allowed me to develop and maintain strong communication skills. Weekly meetings are set in place to develop relationships between incoming first year students and returning students.

time managment

Planning appointments to meet with first year students to check on academic and personal issues. Also going to workshops developed to help students obtain the skills and knowledge to succeed in college as a minority student. While also maintaining availability to students whenever they needed assistance or support throughout the academic year.

problem solving

Directing first year students to campus resources and encouraging them to utilize them so that they are able to succeed.
