Gaining the role of President has allowed me listen to the interests and needs of the executive and general members. SOL has helped me develop skills in motivation and inspiration when trying to execute goals as an organization in the campus community.

The purpose of SOL's events are to create awareness of the Latino/Hispanic culture. Every aspect of the event was addressed and managed such as decor, food, entertainment, location reservations, design and promotional materials.

When I held the Public Relations chair on the executive board I was able to apply the skills within my major in real world applications. Developing advertisements and additional materials to market programs and events hosted by the organization. My responsibilities also consisted of running the social media platforms for the organization as well to reach the campus population.
